How do I start a daily photo project?
Open the Camera tab, take your first photo, and save it. Each day, the previous photo appears as a ghost overlay so you can match your framing. Your streak updates automatically in the Library.

Photos are saved to your Apple Photos library in the PocketPic album (or a custom album name you set in Settings). The in-app gallery syncs from that album.
From the Library, tap Export. Choose your frame rate, resolution (1080p H.264 or native HEVC), and whether to enable eye alignment. Save to Photos, share via the system share sheet, or export to a file.
When enabled, PocketPic uses on-device face detection to align each frame so your eyes stay in a consistent position. This makes self-portrait time-lapses look smoother. It runs entirely on your device and can be turned off anytime.
Privacy mode replaces photo thumbnails in the in-app gallery with neutral placeholders. Your photos are not deleted — they remain in the Photos app. Useful if someone might glance at your screen.
On macOS, PocketPic lives in the menu bar. Click the viewfinder icon to open a compact camera popover for a quick daily shot without launching the full window.
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera (or Photos) and enable access for PocketPic. On Mac, you can also open System Settings from the link in PocketPic's Settings screen.
PocketPic requires iOS 18 or later on iPhone/iPad, or macOS 15 or later on Mac.
