Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

PocketPic ("the App") is developed by Oliver Tran. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your choices. PocketPic is designed to keep your photos on your device and in your Apple Photos library.

Summary

Information the App Accesses

Camera

The App requests camera permission to take daily photos. Camera input is used only within the App to capture images and show the alignment overlay. Camera data is not streamed or sent off-device.

Photos Library

The App requests Photos library permission to:

Photos you capture remain in your device's Photos library under your control. Deleting a photo in PocketPic removes it from the App's gallery and from the associated Photos album when applicable.

On-Device Face Analysis

When you enable eye alignment during export, the App uses Apple's Vision framework to detect face landmarks on your photos. This processing happens locally on your device. Face data is not stored separately or transmitted to us or any third party.

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores app preferences locally (for example: overlay opacity, export settings, privacy mode, and album name). Photo metadata used for streaks and gallery organization is stored on your device. This data is not synced to our servers.

Data We Do Not Collect

Children's Privacy

PocketPic is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple's system frameworks (AVFoundation, PhotoKit, Vision) and stores media in your Apple Photos library. Apple's handling of iCloud Photos, if enabled on your device, is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Your Choices

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
